Hey guys! I have created a new blog! It is called Looking Good Gorgeous and it is my new adventure. Click here to check it out! I still talk about beauty products, but I also talk about other things as well such as home decor, fashion, books, and so much more! I did not want to limit myself to only topics about beauty as I felt I did when I created Splash of Beauty. Now I have a new brand, new blog, and new ideas!
Splash of Beauty
Welcome to my corner of the internet where I talk about all things related to beauty. :)

New Year. New Semester.
Hey guys! I know that many people have already started back to school, especially K-12 schools. Tomorrow is my last first day of school, for a while hopefully, and I am super excited! I don't know about you all, but I am officially on countdown for graduation. I have about four months until I am out of school for good.
It is a new year and a new semester, so it is time for many new adventures as well. It is time to start new classes and find a new routine. That's one of my favorite things to do at the start of the semester. Getting organized and finding my new routine with classes, work, studying, etc. I love the beginning of the year and setting new goals. I do not make resolutions anymore because I want to set goals for a general future not for this specific year. Call me crazy, but I just don't like making resolutions for the year.
Some of my goals are to experiment with new recipes and broaden my cooking horizon, take better care of my skin and hair, find a big girl job, and don't be as lazy (I like binge watching Netflix as much as the next person. What are Saturdays for anyway)? No matter what you call your goals it is still good to have goals as something to work towards so you can feel accomplished.
I am excited to write new content this year as well. I am going to be writing new content, and possibly expanding beyond the beauty sphere to include easy/cheap recipes, lifestyle posts, and who knows what else I might come up with?! I am excited to expand my creativity by extending my blogging horizon and talking about different things.
Thanks for reading! I will post as often as I can during my last semester, but I am not making a set schedule. Let me know in the comments what your goals are. If they are for the year, life, this week, whatever the time frame leave it in the comments! My links are in the sidebar to the right. Like and share this post with your friends. See you guys next week. Kisses<3

The Importance of Removing ALL of Your Makeup
Hey guys! I know that you have probably heard from lots of people that removing your makeup at night is very important, but most people don't tell you why. I didn't understand why until I had been using makeup for several years. Not only am I going to share why it is important to take all of your makeup off, but I am also going to share a product that is very helpful at taking off stubborn eye makeup (this post is not sponsored by Neutrogena).
Leaving on makeup after a long day does a lot of harm to your face. It can clog your pores and make you break out. Even just using a makeup wipe is better than nothing, but using a cleanser in addition to a makeup wipe is best. I find using a makeup wipe to be the easiest way to take my makeup off because it is fast.
Taking your eye makeup off is also really important. Have you ever had an eyelash that hurt? That's because you didn't take your eye makeup off completely. There could be other reasons for the pain, but most likely it will be because you slept in your makeup. I use a makeup wipe to remove the majority of my makeup, but sometimes it doesn't get all of my eye makeup off. In addition to a makeup wipe I use Neutrogena's eye makeup remover lotion.
Like the famous oil-free eye makeup remover by Neutrogena this product does a great job at removing my eye makeup. However, I like the lotion better because it doesn't make my eyes feel oily! I used to use the oil to remove my eye makeup, and my eyes always felt oily and gross afterwards. The lotion works very well at removing my makeup and doesn't make my eyes feel oily! I highly recommend it!
Thanks for reading! I hope this has helped you if you are new at putting on makeup, or if you have been using makeup for awhile and didn't know why you should remove your makeup. Leave a comment below telling me about awesome products you use to remove your makeup at the end of the day. All my links are to the right! Like, share, etc. See you guys next week! Kisses<3

Review: Oil Sheets
Hey guys! Happy New Year! Welcome to 2017! I hope that everyone had an amazing holiday season and start to the new year. This week I am going to talk about a product I have used for several years, and I wanted to share it with you guys! If you have oily skin or combination skin you will love this product!
The packaging makes them easy to carry around, and they wipe up all your oil! Like I said, I have used this product for about 3 or 4 years and they are a lifesaver sometimes!
Thank you guys for reading! I hope this product becomes a staple for you like it has for me (I am not sponsored by Clean and Clear). Did you make a New Year Resolution? Let me know in the comments! All my links are in the side bar to the right as always! I will see you next week! Kisses<3

NYX Advent Calendar Final Part!
Hey guys! Christmas was so busy I am just now getting the chance to write this post. I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Here is what was in the last four days of the advent calendar.
Day 21- Liquid lipstick in the shade Teddy. This is a dark brown color, which I did not like on me.
Day 22- Liquid lipstick in the shade Honeymoon. This shade also did not look good with my skin tone.
Day 23-Eyeshadow single in the shade Honeymoon, This is a gorgeous purple shade, which I think I might like with the color of my eyes. I am excited to try it out.
Day 24- Liquid lipstick in the shade Satin Ribbon. This is a gorgeous nude color, but I have decided that bold colors will always be my favorite. Toned down versions are fine for everyday, but I do not prefer nude shades. They do not express who I am, so I think I will be sticking to bright or dark colors!
Thanks for reading! I have exciting posts coming in the New Year that I cannot wait to share with you! This upcoming semester is my last semester of college, so I am not promising weekly posts. However, I will promise to post as often as I can. Thank you for your support! I will see you in 2017 for new posts! My links are to the right as always. Kisses<3

NYX Advent Calendar-Part 4
Hey guys! It's almost Christmas, so the advent calendar is almost over. I am so glad I have gotten to try these products, and I am so ready for Christmas!
Day 16: Eyeshadow single in the shade Beauty Mark. This is a gorgeous shimmery medium brown color, which is a perfect crease color.
Day 17: Liquid lipstick in the shade Bedtime Flirt. I really like this color and cannot wait to try it out!
Day 18: Eyeshadow single in the shade Bedtime Flirt. This is a super shimmery champagne shade; perfect for a night out or for the holidays!
Day 19: Liquid lipstick in the shade Lace Detail. I am unsure about this nude tone, but I cannot wait to try it out!
Day 20: Eyeshadow single in the shade Teddy. This is the second matte shade I have received in the advent calendar. It is a lovely pink tone; perfect for a natural, everyday look.
Thanks for reading! I will be back on Christmas to talk about the final four days of the calendar! All my links are to the right as always! Go follow me to stay up to date on all my posts. See you next time! Kisses<3

NYX Advent Calendar-Part 3
Hey guys! Here is what I found in days 11-15 of my NYX advent calendar!
Day 11- Liquid lipstick in the shade Push-Up. I like this color, but I am not sure if it will look good on me. Nude colors feel weird since I typically like wearing bold colors, but I think I could get used to it.
Day 12- Liquid lipstick in the shade Embellishment. I like this mauve shade a lot and cannot wait to try it!
Day 13- Eyeshadow single in the shade Lace Detail. This one was hard to photograph because it is quite light. It is a shimmery peachy shade. I think it would look good in the summer as a natural look or for the inner corner shade.
Day 14- Eyeshadow single in the shade Satin Ribbon. This is a super shimmery peachy color that would be perfect for a holiday party.
Day 15- Liquid lipstick in the shade Beauty Mark. I am not so sure about this shade. It is a brown tone that I have never tried before, but I might give it a whirl.
Thanks for reading! Let me know in the comments how you are liking the advent calendar posts, and if you have an interesting advent calendar that you are opening this year (beauty or not) tell me how you are liking it! All my links are to the right as always. See you guys next time! Kisses<3
