NYX Advent Calendar Final Part!

Hey guys! Christmas was so busy I am just now getting the chance to write this post. I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Here is what was in the last four days of the advent calendar.

Day 21- Liquid lipstick in the shade Teddy. This is a dark brown color, which I did not like on me.

Day 22- Liquid lipstick in the shade Honeymoon. This shade also did not look good with my skin tone.

Day 23-Eyeshadow single in the shade Honeymoon, This is a gorgeous purple shade, which I think I might like with the color of my eyes. I am excited to try it out.

Day 24- Liquid lipstick in the shade Satin Ribbon. This is a gorgeous nude color, but I have decided that bold colors will always be my favorite. Toned down versions are fine for everyday, but I do not prefer nude shades. They do not express who I am, so I think I will be sticking to bright or dark colors!

Thanks for reading! I have exciting posts coming in the New Year that I cannot wait to share with you! This upcoming semester is my last semester of college, so I am not promising weekly posts. However, I will promise to post as often as I can. Thank you for your support! I will see you in 2017 for new posts! My links are to the right as always. Kisses<3

NYX Advent Calendar-Part 4

Hey guys! It's almost Christmas, so the advent calendar is almost over. I am so glad I have gotten to try these products, and I am so ready for Christmas!

Day 16: Eyeshadow single in the shade Beauty Mark. This is a gorgeous shimmery medium brown color, which is a perfect crease color.

Day 17: Liquid lipstick in the shade Bedtime Flirt. I really like this color and cannot wait to try it out!

Day 18: Eyeshadow single in the shade Bedtime Flirt. This is a super shimmery champagne shade; perfect for a night out or for the holidays!

Day 19: Liquid lipstick in the shade Lace Detail. I am unsure about this nude tone, but I cannot wait to try it out!

Day 20: Eyeshadow single in the shade Teddy. This is the second matte shade I have received in the advent calendar. It is a lovely pink tone; perfect for a natural, everyday look.

Thanks for reading! I will be back on Christmas to talk about the final four days of the calendar! All my links are to the right as always! Go follow me to stay up to date on all my posts. See you next time! Kisses<3

NYX Advent Calendar-Part 3

Hey guys! Here is what I found in days 11-15 of my NYX advent calendar!

Day 11- Liquid lipstick in the shade Push-Up. I like this color, but I am not sure if it will look good on me. Nude colors feel weird since I typically like wearing bold colors, but I think I could get used to it.

Day 12- Liquid lipstick in the shade Embellishment. I like this mauve shade a lot and cannot wait to try it!

Day 13- Eyeshadow single in the shade Lace Detail. This one was hard to photograph because it is quite light. It is a shimmery peachy shade. I think it would look good in the summer as a natural look or for the inner corner shade.

Day 14- Eyeshadow single in the shade Satin Ribbon. This is a super shimmery peachy color that would be perfect for a holiday party.

Day 15- Liquid lipstick in the shade Beauty Mark. I am not so sure about this shade. It is a brown tone that I have never tried before, but I might give it a whirl.

Thanks for reading! Let me know in the comments how you are liking the advent calendar posts, and if you have an interesting advent calendar that you are opening this year (beauty or not) tell me how you are liking it! All my links are to the right as always. See you guys next time! Kisses<3

NYX Advent Calendar-Part 2

Hey guys! Christmas is fast approaching, and I am almost halfway through my advent calendar. I am absolutely loving it so far. The past five days have had some of my favorite products so far!

Day 6: Eyeshadow single in the shade Corset. You can hardly see it on my hand, but it is a light nude shade that is shimmery. It's a beautiful highlight color, which is what I have used it for.

Day 7: Eyeshadow single in the shade Push-Up. This is a shimmery medium brown shade; perfect for your crease.

Day 8: Liquid lipstick in the shade Exotic. This is my favorite liquid lipstick from the advent calendar so far! I love the rosey color!

Day 9: Single eyeshadow in the shade Ruffle Trim. This is a gorgeous shimmery peach color for a natural look.

Day 10: Single Eyeshadow in the shade Baby Doll. This one is also hard to see, but it's a pink color that is super duper shimmery! Great for the holidays or date night!

Thanks for reading! All my links are to the right as always! See you guys for the next advent calendar post! Kisses<3

24 Days of NYX!

Hey guys! It is officially Christmas time...well it has been for a while I'm just a bit late. I have something very exciting to share with you all. I got my very first advent calendar this year, and it is not an ordinary advent calendar! It is a makeup advent calendar, which is very perfect for me because you guys know that I love makeup. It is also from one of my favorite high quality, drugstore brands, NYX!

I have already opened 5 days from the calendar, and I have tested out quite a few of them. This will be the only time I will give a review of the products because there are only two kinds of products. In the calendar there are 12 eyeshadows and 12 liquid lipsticks from their Lingerie line. The other posts will be periodic until Christmas showing what the NYX Box of Goodies has to offer.

Day 1: Lingerie liquid lipstick in the shade Babydoll. It is the perfect nude color. This line of liquid lipstik dries up after a few seconds and leaves a matte finish.

Day 2: Lingerie liquid lipstick in the shade Ruffle Trim. This is my favorite because it is nude, but has a rose tint, which gives it some color.

Day 3: Exotic eyeshadow single. A beautiful matte brown with a purple undertone. (I know that sounds weird, but it's gorgeous). I love these eyeshadows! They are great quality just like this liquid lipsticks.

Day 4: Lingerie liquid lipstick in the shade Corset. It is a great nude shade with brown tones. I have not tried this one yet, but I am excited to try it out!

Day 5: Embellishment eyeshadow single. This picture does not do the shimmery purple shade justice. It is perfect for the colder months. Not too dark, and not too bright. It is perfect!

Thanks for reading! I will try to post updates every 5 days so these posts are not too long. I love these products and cannot wait to explore the different shades. I have new links over on the right side including a new Facebook page where I will be posting everything related to my blog! Updates about posts will now be on that page rather than my personal Facebook page, but they will still be on my personal Instagram! Kisses<3

Review: ELF Natural Beauty Book

Hey guys! The ELF Beauty Journal: Natural Look is one of two palettes I own, and I absolutely love it. I normally go for neutral makeup looks because I like a nice bold lip color, and this is a great palette for  that!
This palette comes with black pencil eyeliner, liquid eye primer with a stick applicator, six eyeshadow colors, and a foam eyeshadow applicator. I only use the eyeshadows. I tried the primer and it was too liquidy, and didn't seem to make the shadow look very pigmented which made it look like it didn't last very long. I haven't tried the eyeliner because I do not like the pencils that you have to resharpen because they aren't easy for me to use.

These are the gorgeous colors that are in the palette. They do not have names, so I'll reference their place on the palette instead.

The top left color is a great highlight color for the inside corner of your eye and under your brow bone. This is the only color in the palette that is matte, also. The top right color is great for a crease color or even a base for your lid. There is an orange undertone to the shimmer which doesn't appear in the picture, but looks great! The middle left is also a great base lid color and it is has a more yellow undertone to the shimmer which you can kind of see in the picture. The middle right color is a shimmery medium brown which is great for the outer corner for a natural smokey eye.

The bottom left is a shimmery white, and it's the only color in the palette I have never used. I am not sure how the pigment would turn out, but I think it is just a silver shimmer. It would look good over a matte color to give it some shimmer. Finally, the bottom right is a shimmery dark brown, but appears black in the picture. It is good for an evening smokey eye.
This is how the palette looks when you first open it. There is a plastic cover over the products, and the back of the cover has a guide on it. If you're learning how to do makeup then this guide could be a helpful tool for doing a simple natural look. Guides, charts, tutorials, etc. are all great tools to learn how to do makeup for younger girls!

Thanks for reading! This semester is crazy, so I am trying my best to post when I can but I am not making any promises for a set schedule. This post was not sponsored by ELF. All my links are to the right! Like and share please! See you guys next week! Kisses<3

Review: Simple Foaming Cleanser

Hey guys! So I messed up my math and this is not my 50th blog post, but it will be published next week! For today I am going to talk about one of my favorite skin care products! For about the millionth time, this is not a sponsored article and I am not affiliated with the brand Simple.

The Foaming Cleanser is one of the best skin care products I have ever used. After I rinse it off my skin feels so clean and soft! The cap over the pump make travel really easy because you don't have to worry about it making a mess.
This product does not clear your face of acne because it is only a cleanser. This product feels lovely on the skin and makes my skin feel soft. I have combination skin, so this product might not be right for your skin.

That's all for this week! Please like, share, etc. My links are in the description to the right! Bloglovin' is a site that will notify you whenever I have a new post! See you next time! Kisses<3

Review: Garnier Makeup Wipes

Hey guys! Not long ago I posted about the Simple makeup wipes, and since then I have switched brands. Now I use the Garnier Clean: Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes! (Not sponsored by this brand).
They are standard makeup wipes, and do a wonderful job at removing ALL my makeup! They remove my eye makeup like its nothing! (Note: I never wear waterproof eye makeup). I have combination skin and even though this package says normal skin it doesn't make my skin feel any dryer or more oily than normal.

The best part (in my opinion) is that you can buy two packages of 25 wipes each in one package! I could do that with the Simple wipes too, but only at Target. I can get this package at Walmart, which is more convenient for me. The Simple wipes have the exact same amount of wipes per package, and both are around the same price. I started using these simply for convenience, and I love them because they do a great job at taking off my makeup with a single wipe!

I do not wear heavy makeup daily, but I did use these to remove a face of stage makeup and it still only took a single wipe. I cannot express enough how great these wipes are.

Thanks for reading! Since it is during the school year I am going to change my posting schedule. I am busy a lot with studying and homework, so I won't promise to post every Monday, but I will post at least once a week! My links are all to the right in the side bar! Follow me, and share this post please! See you guys next week! Kisses<3

August Favorites 2016

Hey guys! Another month has come and gone this year. How is it already September?! Anyway, with school in full swing it should be easier to get a routine down for blogging. Now let's talk about some favorites!

My first favorite of the month is my off brand Tangle Teaser. It makes brushing my hair so much easier. All the tangles aren't a problem with this brush at all. It doesn't even hurt or pull! There will be a full review about it soon!

My new favorite is my LUSH bubbleroon in the scent Rose Jam. It smells amazing! There will also be another post all about this bubble bar!

Another thing I have been loving this month is bubble baths with this specific product. I did another post all about it here. It makes amazing bubbles, and this particular scent smells of Christmas.

Lastly, I am still loving this anti-frizz spray. As a college student I am walking around outside everyday, and sometimes its humid and this product is my lifeline for humid or rainy days. I cannot get enough of this spray by Ogx. You can even put it on your roots without your hair looking super oily, If you want to know more about this product click here for my review.

Thanks for reading! All my links are to the right as always, and this post is not sponsored by any of the aforementioned brands. Let me know in the comments what you have been loving in August. Like, share, etc. See you all next week! Kisses<3

Urban Decay Lipstick Trial: Psycho

Hey guys! Here is round two of the Urban Decay lipstick trials! Today is Pyscho, which is a bright red with very subtle shimmer in it that is a true matte lipstick. It did not dry out my lips, which surprised me for a matte.
I had to put the packaging on my hand to try to show the color of it. It is a very bright red with some sparkle in it. I loved the color of this lipstick! However, there were other things I did not love about Psycho.

It lasted for about 4 hours, and did not pass the eating and drinking test. It was still decent wear time, but after eating a meal I was ready to reapply. I was surprised to find that the matte didn't pass the eating/drinking test, but the cream one did. I did not like it enough that I would want to purchase a full size. That's just my opinion though. If you like matte bright reds then you might love this lipstick!

Thank you for reading! All my links are to the right as always. See you next week for another post! Kisses<3

Urban Decay Lipstick Trial: Firebird

Hey guys! I didn't post yesterday because it was the first day of my senior year of college! It was very exciting, but  now it is time to talk about another Urban Decay trial! This time it is about the shade Firebird, another cream lipstick.
This one also showed the color better when I put it against my hand because it is bright. In the package it is a bright purple color, but once I put it on it was a hot pink.

Typically I don't like bright pinks, but I loved this lipstick! I think I have a thing for the cream lipsticks because so far I love both of the one's I have tried. This one lasted for 4-5 hours, and it passed the eating and drinking test. Some of it came off on my straw, but it wasn't too bad. I felt confident not reapplying after I ate.

Thanks for reading! All my links are in their usual place. I will try my best to post every Monday throughout the school year, but I am not making any promises because school is important and things get crazy. See you guys next week for a new post! Kisses<3

The Wonders of Mascara Primer!

Hey guys! Today I am going to talk about a new product I added to my makeup routine that I can't live without anymore! Mascara primer!
Hard Candy is a brand I saw at Walmart that always looked like it was for young girls experimenting with flashy makeup with lots of sparkles. However, I was too quick to judge because it was the only brand I could find with a mascara primer, so I decided to try it out. I am glad I did because I love it!

Mascara primer is now a staple for me. The fibers from it make my lashes look thick and long, and makes my mascara less likely to clump because it separates them. It also makes mascara a million times easier to remove! I highly recommend mascara primer in general because it is awesome!

I am not sponsored by Hard Candy or Walmart.

Thanks for reading! If you have ever tried a brand you were unsure about, or if you use an awesome mascara primer let me know about it in the comments! All my links are where they always are ( to the right). See you next week! Kisses<3

Urban Decay Lipstick Trial: Manic

Hey guys! It's time to talk about the first of the Urban Decay trials that I tested out! Manic is a light berry color and a cream lipstick.

It's also a gorgeous neutral tone! I finally found the perfect shade that I love that goes with pretty much everything. I have worn this several times with different outfits, and it goes with many different styles even a t-shirt and shorts. That is why I love it so much!

This is how it looks on. This lipstick lasted about 5 hours, which in my opinion is really good wear time. It passed the eating/drinking test with flying colors! There was little/no trace left on my fork/cup! If I had a tube that I could've taken with me I would have reapplied once. This was a great start to the lipstick trials, and I can't wait to try more of these lipsticks.

Thank you for reading! All my links are to the right as always. If you have tried any high end lipsticks tell me about it in the comments. I am interested to know how they compare with Urban Decay's lipsticks. I will see you guys next week for another new post! Kisses<3

Review: Philosophy Bubble Bath

Hey guys! You guys know how much I love a nice bath and how much I love bath products, so today I am going to talk about a much loved brand for many people: Philosophy (not sponsored).
This product is their bubble bath/body wash/shampoo. I used it as a body wash and a bubble bath, but not a shampoo because I thought it was strange. I had a travel sized bottle of Winter Escape, and it smells very good. It is vanilla scented, but not sweet like warm vanilla sugar scents are.

I liked it as a body wash, but I loved it as a bubble bath! The bubbles were amazing, and seemed to last forever! I take baths for one and a half to two hours and the bubbles lasted the entire time! I'm not sure if it's because the bottle is so tiny, but it seemed I had to use a lot of the product to get my desired amount of bubbles. Highly recommend this product for lovely bubbles at bath time.

Thank you for reading! The other day I hit 2000 pageviews! Thank you to everyone who has read my blog posts, and if this is the first post you have read welcome! If any of you guys enjoy baths let me know what products you like using in the comments! All my links are to the right as always! Like, share, etc. I will see you guys next week! Kisses<3

Review: Maybelline Lipstick-Vivids

Hey guys! I am back from Florida and ready to get back into the swing of things! Today I am going to start back by talking about a lipstick that I have used. (This post is not sponsored by Maybelline). Maybelline has a line of lipsticks called "Vivids," and they are lovely bright colors! When I say bright I basically mean neon.
I love the neon color don't get me wrong! I think bright lipstick is fun, and great for people who love bright colors. The lipstick I bought from this collection was number 515 Coral Crush. I have had this color for a while and I love wearing it in the summer! It is soft and moisturizing, which is always nice because that last thing you want is for your lips to be dry and flaky when you have lipstick on.
Cons to this lipstick would be that it doesn't last long at all. Maybe 2-3 hours, and less if you eat after you apply it. The major con for me is that the color is not consistent. There are spots where the color is not fully pigmented so it looks splotchy up close. However, it looks great from far away and in pictures.

That's it for this week guys! Let me know in the comments what your favorite drugstore lipstick brand is! Thank you for reading! All my links are to the right in the side bar; like, share, etc.! See you guys next week! Kisses<3

June/July Favorites 2016!

Hey guys! I know it's much later in the week than normal, but that is because I am enjoying a family vacation in beautiful sunny Florida. I don't know if next week I will do a post because it is my last week on vacation, and I want to enjoy it.

Now it is time to talk about my favorites from June and July! I have several beauty products and some miscellaneous things too! There's quite a few things, but I promise to keep it brief.
First is my beauty blender! It is actually an off-brand beauty blender that I got from Marshall's, but I love it! I have used it for a couple years (yes, I know you are not supposed to do that, but it has stayed nice for that long since I do not use it daily) and it still works great! I have only had to wash it twice because I do not use it daily, and it is perfect as ever. I love to blend my concealer with it whenever I wear it!

The next beauty product is mascara primer! This is by the brand Hard Candy, and I love this stuff! It works like a dream. I will not say any more because there will be a post about it soon!

Recently I started to getting more spots on my face, but this stuff has done wonders for my skin! It has cleared up my skin very fast. I still have some spots, but I have faith in this stuff to clear up my skin completely.

Of course this would make my list! Manic by Urban Decay. This lipstick is wonderful, and there will be a full review up very soon!

Ignore my ugly nail polish, chipping off in the picture, but I have also been loving coffee this month. Not from Starbucks (in case you recognize the cup). Just coffee in general! It is a must on early mornings.

I have been reading this book the last couple weeks of June and finished in mid July, and I loved it. It might be better than Harry Potter...I can't believe I can say that, but it's true. If you like queens and kings, action, and magical places then you would love this book! It is a series of three, and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book!

I have also been loving Marshall's. If you don't know what it is you are missing out! Marshall's is a store with cheep clothes from designer brands! It has been my favorite store for a long time, but recently I have gotten a cute mug, shirt, and some other stuff. This store has everything (except food). I encourage you to check it out if there is one near you!

Lastly I have been loving yogurt, granola, and berries in the mornings for breakfast. This is my staple breakfast because it is healthy and delicious! Sometimes I will add a scrambled egg sandwich on an English muffin or toasted wheat bread on the side if I am really hungry.

Those are all of my favorites for the summer! Let me know if  you like me talking about other things I have been loving other than beauty stuff, or if I should stick to talking about beauty things! Thanks for reading! My links are all in the right side bar. See you next time for another post! Kisses<3
