Christmas Makeup 2013

Hey guys Merry Christmas! I thought I would do another holiday post since the holidays have come upon us. I had planed to post this earlier, but I got so busy because I am a big procrastinator! Nevertheless, I found holiday makeup, hair, and nail looks that are perfect for Christmas 2013!
This color is great for Christmas because it is red! It is a rich burgundy color which is beautiful and perfect because it is not too bright and annoying like somethings can be around this time of year. Another plus is that it is kind of shimmery. Who doesn't love shimmer?

This is a great nail look because it kind of resembles snow/ice which is perfect for winter, and the holidays! Once again there is sparkles, and this time it is ombre!
This hair style is beyond cute for Christmas and is really simple. Just pin back a few strands of hair, curl it, and tada! Beautiful hair that will be the envy of the family (only joking of course because envy is bad hehe).

Here is another perfect holiday hairstyle because it is very quick and simple. All it is is a French twist to the back of your head and pin it up. Do not forget to add a bow because bows make everything better!!

This is a particularly great look for Christmas. The smokey eye is very neutral, but dark. The blush is also a darker shade with a redder tint rather than a pink or coral like someone would use in the summertime. The burgundy, almost maroon color of the lipstick is a great shade for wintertime. I adore this makeup look.
This smokey eye is much lighter and more natural than the previous look. It's better suited for those who don't really go for daring looks and like to stay safe with makeup. This would be good with a red lipstick, or for those who don't go bold with lips a pink, or nude would also work.
I really love this look. The silver shadow is perfect for the holidays, and the cat eye looks great with it. The berry lipstick goes very well and is fantastic for winter holidays.

This look is probably my favorite of this post. I love gold eyeshadow. I love how the inner corner is highlighted and how that makes the eyes look much brighter! This cat eye looks different that the previous look because it is much bolder. The white liner on the waterline also helps brighten the eyes. This would be great with a berry lipstick color.

That's it for my Christmas post! I hope you guys like all of these holiday looks, and maybe try a few of them! Next time I will be doing another Pinterest Favs post with lost of cute winter clothes!!

Winter/Christmas 2013

Hey guys! This week I'll probably post more than once as long as Netflix doesn't distract me during finals week (hehe). This post is about decorating for Christmas with very limited space like in a dorm room.
Of course what room wouldn't be complete without a Christmas tree? No room!! Of course is had to be small, but it could match your room! You could get a colorful tree, a cute tree skirt, and ornaments! Coordinate with your roommate, unless you guys hate each other then never mind.
This seems to be very popular among lots of girls in the dorm. There isn't a lot in my hallway, but there are a couple. But why come back from Thanksgiving break and put this up only for a few weeks? That just seems silly to me!
This would be a cute decoration that's very simple, quick, and easy to create. It's just enough to add a bit of sparkle to your room, and to show festivity without being really obnoxious about it.
Speaking of easy decorations, this would be super simple! Add some fairy lights to a bottle and look it's something cute for your dorm! And speaking of fairy lights...
Fairy lights are great for decorating a dorm room, especially for the holidays! I love fairy lights year 'round, but I love them so much more during the holiday season. For seasonal purposes you can even make shapes out of them...
Like this Christmas tree made of fairy lights for an apartment!
Another cute idea for an apartment or a dorm room is to make snowflakes out of popsicle sticks, or paper to hang up. It's festive and can be used throughout winter and not during the holidays!

That's all for the weeks! Hope you enjoyed this post about decorating a dorm room for the holidays and the season! Next time I will be talking about makeup looks for the holidays!

Pinterest Favs #7

Hey guys! Being a holiday last week I didn't make a new post because I wanted to spend as much as I could with my family before coming back to school. Here it is though, a brand new week full of so many cute things I have found on Pinterest! Let's get started!!
This shirt I found and really fell in love with. It's a quite girly style and it's all ruffly and frilly at the bottom. It's also got a cinched waist that resembles a peplum style. I think it would look cute with some wintery leggings, like the ones that look like Christmas sweaters, as long as the shirt did not cut off at your hips it would still look classy. To top of this look it would be great with some furry boots and a nice pea coat with a scarf and some cute black gloves!
Next I found this frilly girly dress. It may not be the most practical thing for winter, but nonetheless it's still super cute and with a pair of Oxfords it would be darling!
I found this outfit which is a tad dressy. It it a really cute burgundy dress with a really cute coat that I adore! I wouldn't wear the scarf, and probably wouldn't carry the handbag either, but this outfit is cute and great for those occasions in the winter time where you need to look a little bit fancy.
This outfit is a bit more casual that the previous one, and contains so many bows! There is bows on the boots, on the bag, and on the top and I would wear it. Oh Pinterest why can't I have everything I pin in my closet? Sounds like a good idea to me! I also like the colors! The light blue and brown compliment each other nicely, and I'm not much of a brown person. I tend to go for black In the winter, but I love this outfit!
Back to being a bit dressy, I love this dressy outfit for something like a nice dinner or a play. I love everything about the dress. The color, the shape, the bow, the whole nine yards! I also love he patterned tights! This is my perfect dressy outfit for winter!
This is a very casual outfit that would be comfy for going to class. The baggy shirt and camisole are great colors that are perfect for Christmas time around campus. This outfit would also be great with a pair of boot socks!
Well lastly I have this amazing accessory! If I had one of these I would die! I love things with collars, and if I were able to make loads of things have collars I would be the happiest girt in the world! This could be paired with sweaters with high necks when you don't have the right collared shirt to go underneath it. This would be perfect!

That's all for this week! I hope you enjoyed all the fashion I found this week! Next week I'm thinking about doing a Christmas dorm decorating post. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Pinterest Favs #6

Hey guys! Another week of favourites to share, but this week there not a lot of outfits to share. Mostly I found shoes that are really cute! I appologise in advance for the randomness of this post because I have been getting ready to start crafting everyone's gifts for Christmas this year and feel like I have absolutely no time to make them look decent. But anyway, time to share my favourites of the week!
This is the first thing I found this week on Pinterest. This 1950s inspired dress that's white and lacie is perfect for spring. It has a beautiful v-neck witha nice waist line so the dress poofs a bit in a nice a-line shape which I love because I am a petite person, so it flatters my shape quite nicely. With black or tan flats and gold jewelry this outfit would be complete.
I won't spend a lot of time raving about hoe cute this shirt is because of the bow (but really it's so cute). It would be great for autumn or winter. With dark jeans and riding boots, flats, or heels this would be really cute. Adding a bow in your hair would make it lots more girlie which I love!

Now on to the majority of the post which will be shoes. These pairs are lacie, and they would make an outfit perfectly girlie, especially with the silk bows on them both. The pair on the left would be better for spring, whereas the pair on the right would be better suited for autumn.
These shoes would be great for autumn or winter because they would look great with tights or frilly socks. They are suede and have bows on them (always a plus)! These booties would help an outfit be girlie!
Now on with the rest of the post. This nail colour is to die for, and is perfect for autumn. It's deep purple and sometimes looks pink in different light which is kind of cool. I love the shimmer it possesses!
Last I found this tree topper! Anyone who knows me knows that I love Harry Potter and when I found this I almost died. This sorting hat tree topper is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen and would probably use it if I could get one!

Well that's all for this week! I warned you guys it would be random. We started with a dress and ended with a Sorting Hat tree topper! Either way this was a great week with great things I found on Pinterest!

Autumn Makeup 2013

Hey guys! I thought that doing an autumn makeup post would be really good for those people who don't try anything new and wear the same look from the same pallet everyday. This post could give insight to different colour combination that would be worth giving a try because I know that I used to have lots of trouble trying to put colours together to create an awesome makeup look, and hopefully this will inspire you to try something new.

These two eye looks are perfect for the holiday season. They would be a great look for Thanksgiving dinner, or Christmas parties. They are fun and shimmery, and smokey eyes are a very classic look. These would go great with a red or berry lip shade. If you don't know how to do a smokey eye, take a darker colour to the outer corner of you eye and blend it through your crease, or look up Zoella's makeup tutorials on YouTube because she's fantastic and she taught me!
This makeup look is great for autumn, and is similar to the two above and would be great for a Christmas party, or dinner. It would also be good for Thanksgiving. This would be good with a nude lipstick, or maybe a pink or berry colour if your confident in pulling off a bolder look. This is another smokey eye look, and another great person on YouTube who does makeup tutorials is Tanya Burr.
This is another great autumn, and is much bolder than the previous looks. This is great for autumn because it strays away from the neutrals, or the classic party look with a shimmery base colour. It is very different and would be great with a pinker lipstick rather than a dark berry shade because the eyes are so bold you definitely want to go soft with the lips.
For those people who don't like to go really bold this is a better look. This is a very simple, light look for everyday wear. It has a light flick with some eyeliner which I personally love. This look would be great with a light pink lipstick/gloss. The key to this look is simplicity. Don't go simple with the eyes and bold on the lips.

Yes, I realise that these are not makeup, but you can't say that they aren't adorable. The turquoise one is so cute and girlie! I love the gold trim around the stones! The one on the right gives a vintage touch and I love it!
This nail colour is my favourite for fall! Anything that is dark purple, or dark in general I love for this holiday season. I love this nail look how the glitter is ombre!
The last thing I found was this ingenious way to take nail polish off! It's supposed to be great even for glitter! Take a jar and put a couple sponges inside. Pour the nail polish remover inside and stick your finger between the sponges and let it soak for a while. The nail polish will just melt off like it's magic or something! I think this is a great idea and will probably make one! It would also make a great Christmas gift.

That's all for this post! Let me know if you guy like this type of post also because it's different from my normal Pinterest favourite posts. I think makeup is a very important part of fashion, and is also fun to practice and master. Don't be afraid to leave a comment telling me if you love or hate these types of posts!

Autumn/Thanksgiving 2013

Hey guys! I thought I would take a break from the fashion posts this week because I love to decorate, and thought getting on Pinterest and looking for items to decorate with would be fun (especially since I live in a dorm room and can't actually decorate, why not live vicariously through my Holiday Decor board?) I have found some very interesting things, so lets get started!
So this isn't exactly decoration, but I couldn't help not to share because let's get real it's absolutely adorable! I know that if I could do some holiday cooking I would wear this thing all day and never take it off! I'm not really a good cook, but if I could wear this I would cook all that time!! It's just so cute and girlie and I love everything about it, and I'm sure I could go on and on, so I should stop now before I get carried away...(hehe)

These are both very simple decor designs that would work with a mantle. Mantles are very difficult to get right. They are just very frustrating to design because they either have be perfectly over the top, or very simplistic. There is no happy medium (unless someone knows a secret, in which case tell me in the comments because I would love to know!) My favourite is the one to the right because it can go on a shelf, table, basically anywhere and it looks kind of vintage also (which is, of course, a plus for me!)

These designs are really cute as well, and they are also really simple and would add the perfect autumn flair to any space. I love picture four on the left because it is so different and gives a vintage flair. I also love number two and three because they are cute. They are great for those spaces you know need something, but you don't know what to put there (just me? okay never mind...) The picture on the right is the same; it is cute and simplistic and perfect for those bare spots!
I really am in love with these design. I love the fairy lights in the tree (which would okay to leave up all year long!) Surrounding the tree with different things is something simple to do with the change of the seasons! I also love the lantern behind the pumpkins! I could go on, but I'm sure you get my point :)

Lastly, I found this which is really adorable! It's a perfect, cute decoration to add to the outside of you house to make people who visit, or neighbors smile. This just emphasizes the essence of Thanksgiving and what us Americans take priority in (not really its just adorable!)

That's all for this post! Tell me if you guys enjoyed this type of post because I enjoyed talking about decor, and even if you don't have a home or a dorm/apartment to decorate maybe it can give you simple things to spice up your room? Or maybe it just makes you feel more in the holiday spirit! Whatever it is leave it in the comments, or let me know somehow that you enjoy it because I plan on doing one in December (or maybe right after Thanksgiving) for Christmas! Also how do you feel about some crafty Christmas ideas? Maybe I could do a future post about crafty Christmas gifts? Yes? No? Maybe? Well I hope you guys have a happy holidays! I'll see you next week (or earlier) for another new type of post!

Pinterest Favs #5

Hey guys! I meant to post this on Halloween, but I was working on homework all day and then had to put myself together for the Halloween Ball. So Happy day after Halloween! This week I've found so many cute autumn outfits that I hope you guys will love! I even found some autumn decor pieces!

These first two pieces are more casual and cute, which make them perfect for walking to class. In the outfit on the left it's a slightly a more western style with the plaid shirt, and wearing a solid shirt with a large blingy necklace could appeal to another style and still have a cute outfit. In the outfit to the right it's a casual style, but I'd prefer to wear brown riding boots instead of heels to wear around campus. Wearing boots instead of heels will make the outfit slightly more western, which is the style I like in the autumn because I get to wear my cowboy boots. I love how the jumper over the plaid shirt and will definitely try this look this autumn.
This outfit is really cute for autumn, and brings a bit of colour to what can sometimes be a dreary autumn/winter wardrobe. With a pair of oxfords, flats, or even riding boots this outfit would be complete.
Of course I couldn't help but to share this adorable shirt with a bow on the front! It has a scalloped neckline and a peplum like shape because of the bow. Even though I tend to go with a more western style in the autumn doesn't mean I still don't like girlie clothing. I would wear this with flats and a pair of gray skinny jeans. This would also look good with pearl jewelery pieces.
This jacket is very casual, but is really jazzed up with the ruffles at the front. It would be cute to just throw on before class, or before leaving to go somewhere during the day. It would look best with jeans and cowboy boots or riding boots.

Yes I know it may be a little late to talk about Halloween decor, but it's not to late for autumn decor. The picture on the left is more for Halloween, but I just loved the chalkboard and thought this whole design was clever for the season and couldn't help but to share it. However, the one to the right is more for autumn if the cat were removed. Pumpkins are for autumn and not just for Halloween, which make this decor design awesome for autumn!
