How To: Fix broken makeup

Hey guys! This time I am going to tell y'all how to fix makeup that is cracked! I had a bad experience with broken makeup a year ago, and now I am going to share how to fix it!

First let me tell a mini story... So last year I had bought a new powder I wanted to try, and when I got it out of the bag it fell out of my hands and onto the hard tile floor in my dorm room. My first thought was, crap now its going to have broken and I am going to be powderless for a few days before I can get back to the store to replace it. Sure enough when I picked it up it was shattered to pieces, but before I gave up hope that I had just wasted $5 I turned to none other than Pinterest, and it gave me this solution...

To fix your makeup you will need:
  • Rubbing Alcohol
  • Toothpick (or any small pokey device)
  • The broken makeup
Step 1: Pour a cap full of Rubbing Alcohol.
Step 2: Pour Rubbing Alcohol onto broken makeup little by little.
Step 3: Stir with toothpick.
Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the makeup has bonded together again.
Step 5: Leave the makeup out to dry with the lid off! Eventually the alcohol with evaporate and the makeup will become firm again! **It took mine all night to dry**

A couple things to keep in mind:
  • I broke a container of Rimmel Stay Matte powder, which is bigger than a small container of eyeshadow. It took a cap and a half...ish to fix my makeup. You can adapt the steps to fit the size of makeup you are fixing, which is why I added "little by little" to the end of step two. If you pour too much rubbing alcohol on the makeup then it will take longer to dry and can overflow out of the container, so just be conscious.
  • This will work on any pressed powder product! (Pressed powder is different than loose powder because you cannot break loose powder).
  • After fixing the makeup it will smell like Rubbing Alcohol, but the longer you leave it out with the lid off the more the smell disappears. It took a day..ish I think for the smell to completely vanish.
Thank you guys for reading, and I hope this comes in handy to somebody! It worked very well for me, and saved me a trip to the store and $5! If you have any questions leave them in the comments below!

Pinterest Favs #14

Hey guys! I know that in my last post I said that I was going to try to get into a routine for blogging, but as I am sure everyone guessed I failed. College is hard to get into a routine for anything besides classes and homework! Anyhow, I am back for the time being, so let's talk fashion. Specifically autumn fahion!

As I said last year, autumn is my favorite time of the year! It is so beautiful, the weather is perfect, bonfires, boots, scarves, layers, the scents of candles and flavors of coffee are the best. The list could go on forever, but I will save you guys the pain of reading all of that. Also I do not know if you noticed, but I created a new style for the blog based on autumn! Hope you guys like it! Sorry for rambling! Let's get to the fashion finally.
Starting out with something simple like this nice simple light grey sweater. It is longer, so leggings are okay to wear, however I would most likely wear dark wash jeans. I would also wear riding boots like the pair in the picture. There are also boot socks/cuffs in the picture which I love because I have a small obsession with boot socks! Since this is quite a simple outfit wearing a statement necklace or a bubble necklace like the one in the picture is great because it makes it a bit more colorful and fun. People can get lost in dark tones or simple outfits in the autumn and winter seasons, so adding a fun necklace is a great way to be different from the crowd.
I think that these style sweaters will be very much in style for the upcoming cold seasons. This is a baggy, bat wing style sweater which is great for those days in which your motto is the less effort the better. It would be cozy, perfect with leggings and riding boots or flats.
This is another style that is very popular in the autumn season, and also is a very simple outfit. A cardigan paired with a simple long.short sleeved shirt or camisole can make you look like you are trying to look good. With a pair of jeans, riding boots, and a fun scarf people will be very impressed with the effort to look decent when actually this is a simple outfit. I like the mustard yellow color of the cardigan in the picture, and I think that this color is growing in popularity and will be a staple in many peoples' autumn wardrobe. The scarf adds the bit of fun and uniqueness to this outfit that the statement necklace adds to the first outfit.
This outfit might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it. This outfit is a good thing for church or some get together that requires a little more effort than an average casual outfit. Pair any simple, plain dress with any cardigan (that matches of course) and you have a very cute slightly dressy outfit for autumn. With this outfit in particular I would wear my cowboy boots rather than riding boots because I think that would be super cute.
This was a very recent pin of mine, and I love it more and more when I look at it. I love that darker toned blue because not many people wear this color in the autumn. People normally go for reds and purples, but this blue is different. Plus the skirt is faux leather which is becoming more and more popular, and I love the pattern on the skirt. Gold jewelry, and some flats would be super cute, and complete the outfit!
At first glance it looks as if the sweater is tucked into the skirt, but actually it is a crop top! WHAT?! Crop tops in autumn?! Yes people! It is still in style to wear cropped tops during autumn! Of course longs sleeves are required, and high-waisted skirts and pants are also required. In summer it is cute to show a bit of tummy, but in autumn you look foolish because (shocker) it is cold outside! Anyway, I love this outfit a lot, and think that some nice black heels or booties would be adorable.

That is it for this post guys! I am not promising that I am going to even attempt to blog weekly, but I will try to upload a little more often. I hope you enjoyed me talking about autumn fashion. Leave in the comments something you love about this season! If you do not like autumn what is your favorite season, and why is it your favorite?

There are two things I want to address really quick. If you read this on a mobile phone I just noticed today that if I lay it out weirdly like I did my last post it looks as if I do not know how to do a page layout, but that is because I publish my posts on my laptop. I also layout the page so it looks good in a desktop format, so I really know what I am doing you guys! The second thing is that I am almost to 1000 page views, and I am so excited! Share this with your friends, family, dog, great-aunt Betty, whoever! I am hoping that this post can get me to 1000 page views! Thanks to everyone who has read every single post from the beginning, and to everyone who supports me now, more than a year later!

Makeup Review #2

Hey guys! After a successful first week of classes I am ready to start getting into a regular blogging schedule! A very long time ago I did a little makeup review of my favorite products that were in my makeup bag. Well I have gotten some new products that I have been loving, and I thought I would share them with y'all.

I have been loving the ELF small angled brush for my eye brows. It is a good quality brush for a small amount of money. I believe it was $3 at Target. I will be purchasing more ELF brushes in the future!

I know that some people do not care for gel eyeliner that comes in a little pot because it takes too long to apply in the morning, and trust me I value sleep. A lot! I do not wear this on a day to day basis for that exact reason, but if you are wanting a more dramatic, romantic, cute, daring look then use this eyeliner! This is the best thing I have ever purchased because the pigment is a really sharp, deep black color which I love. It stays on for a very long time. You could have the ugliest biggest, most dramatic cry in the world and it would not budge! It comes with the brush in the picture, and is easy to apply with said brush.

This is another one of my favorite products, which I have mentioned in my previous post about my lipstick collection. This is a Revlon Lip Butter in the shade 075 Lollipop. It is so pigmented and it wears for around 4-5 hours at the most. (I am no expert this is just an estimated guess). It is soft and moisturizing like a chapstick, it is pigmented like a lipstick, and is glossy like a lip gloss. It is the perfect thing for your lips, and I would recommend it to anyone. They do have some neutral colors, but I prefer colors that really stand out.

Here is a better look at the shade!
The picture above does not really do it justice.
(Pardon my hand as it looks weird).
Thank you guys for reading! I hope you liked the layout being a bit different than it normally is. The pictures were just so awkward this time that I thought it would be a fun way to write it. Share in the comments what you think! As always my links are in the right side bar! Kisses<3

Skin care

Hey guys! Every girl knows that skin care is very important. From the very first pimple until you have wrinkles, skin care is very important. Not only your face, but your legs, hands, feet, and everything in between are equally as important.

One of my best friends made me the best exfoliator I have ever used, and gave it to me as a Christmas gift. BEST GIFT EVER! It smelled very good, and made my skin feel super smooth!
By the time I got to take this picture I had used almost all of it...my friend got the recipe on Pinterest. She could not remember which one she used, but there are so many I do not blame her. There are many of these recipes out there, so surely you can find one you like as much as I loved this one! I wish I knew this one because I would give it to everyone I know, and would make it again for myself!

That's all for this post! Tell me about things you use for your skin care routine. Lotions, exfoliators, acne treatments, etc. Tell me everything! I am always looking for new things to make my skin soft and smell good! I will try really hard to post next week, but it will be the first week of classes for me so I am not promising anything. My Obsession: Lipstick

Hey guys! Even though I am on vacation I cannot help but talk about my favorite makeup product! I love lipstick, and to anybody who knows me this does not come as a shock. Some people like to wear bright eyeshadow, and are great at pulling it off. Other people like to stay safe and wear neutral colors. I like to wear bright lipstick because it pops and is exciting.
I know it is kind of a pathetic collection, but nonetheless I love all of them. The first one is Maybelline from the Vivids collection number 515 Coral Crush. The second is a Revlon Lip Butter number 075 in the shade Lollipop. The next one is a duel lipstick and lip gloss by Ulta. The lipstick is On the Mauve, and the lip gloss is called Cupcake. The next Ulta duel lip color is Smokey Quartz lipstick, and Stellar lip gloss. The next two I have talked about before on my blog. They are my L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche lipsticks. One in the color 350 British Red, and the other is 754 Sugar Plum.
I swatched all of them on my hand to show how pigmented they are. The swatches are in the order of the photo above.

The Maybelline lipsticks is pretty pigmented, and wear time is about 2-3 hours. It shows up a lot brighter on the lips than it does on my hand.

The Lip Butter is amazing, and I will dedicate an entire post to it in the future. It's pigment is very bold, and wear time is 4-5 hours maximum.

The next two are the first Ulta duel with On the Mauve and Cupcake. This is my everyday makeup look lipstick. I love it because it is shimmery and wear time is 4-5 hours. It is very pigmented. However, it is not very bold, but it is a flirty deep pink color.
The first two are the second Ulta duel with Smokey Quartz and Stellar. I wear this mostly in the autumn and winter because it is a deep berry color. Again it has a 4-5 hour wear time, and is very pigmented. It is less shimmery than the other duel.

The next one is Sugar Plum, which is a lighter shade of berry than the duel from Ulta, and it is more shimmery also. Wear time is 4-5 hours, and it is very pigmented.

The last lipstick in my collection is British Red. It is a very bright and bold red color even though it is not showing in the picture. It is exactly like Sugar Plum because they are the same brand and in the same line of lipsticks.

That is it for this post! Tell me what your favorite lipsticks are in the comments. Also, tell me what kinds of colors you wear. Only pinks, bold colors, nudes, a little of everything? Let me know, maybe I will find a new color to experiment with.
All of my links are still in the side bar to the right (wow, they haven't moved? Nope). Kisses<3

Summertime makeup: Lip gloss

Hey guys! My previous post was all about tinted moisturizer, and how it is good to switch out foundation for BB creams in the summer. Another important item to change specifically for summer is lipsticks for lip glosses. Of course a lipstick with shimmer in it is also appropriate for summer, but glossy lips are a must for summer! Sometimes it can be difficult to find a gloss that lasts a while, and that gives a lot of pigment.
These have been my favorite lip glosses this summer. They are elf studio brand, and as you guys know I really love that brand (again this is not a sponsored post I just really love them). These glosses stay on very well, and give a lot of pigment. I would say wear time is about 3-4 hours max, but this is just a guess. These were also a steal. There were 10 glosses for $10! My sister and I split them, which is why I only have five, but I love the five I got plus we can always share!
I swatched them on the back of my hand, and not in order of the picture above. The colors in order of the swatches above are Golden Chariots, Cowgirl Chic, Berry Merry, Sassy Social, and Coral Corral.

Golden Chariots is just a clear gloss with specks of gold in it, and I like to wear it over my red lipstick which will be featured in my next post.
Cowgirl Chic is just a very casual, everyday color. It is nude with pink undertones and is probably my favorite.
Berry Merry is a great berry/plum color and I typically wear this when the seasons are changing over from summer to autumn because I think its pretty when the leaves are changing.
Sassy Social I wear when I need something neutral, and I want it to pop. (I consider some pink lip colors neutrals because shades like this one can go with almost anything).
Coral Corral I wear when I need a pop of color to my outfit, or when I what to wear something exciting.

That is it for this post! Tell me what brands of lip gloss you guys are liking this summer, and tell me what colors. I am always on the lookout for new brands and colors to experiment with! My next post will be about other products I wear on my lips because I am a lipstick addict! I love bright colors the most because they bring pops of fun and brightness to my makeup look, and outfit!

Summertime Makeup Routine

Hey guys! This time I am here to talk about summertime makeup habits! In the autumn and winter seasons it is cold outside, and you do not really sweat that much so most ladies wear a foundation as a base because it gives a thicker coverage. Foundations are good for those colder months, but what about when it is hot outside? When you are sweaty foundation can look blotchy and gross, or come off all together. Some people do not like powder because it does not give the coverage they are comfortable with.
It is no secret that tinted moisturizers and BB creams are the hottest makeup item for summer 2014. You see them advertised all the time on TV, but are they really all they are made up to be? Is it worth spending money on the "latest and greatest thing?" In this case I think the answer is an astounding... YES!

For those hot summer months when you sweat, tinted moisturizers and BB creams are your best friends. They all have SPF in them (at least all the ones I have seen do). They are very light on the skin, so it feels like you are wearing a powder. Plus it gives the coverage of a foundation!
I use the e.l.f. studio tinted moisturizer, and absolutely love it. (It is the only one I have ever used, so I may be biased). It gives good coverage, and I feel comfortable wearing it out in public all day long. The tinted moisturizers also help moisturize your skin, so you do not need to put on an extra moisturizer in the morning, which saves time. (I am not sponsored by e.l.f. studio brand; I just really happen to enjoy this product)! The first time I put it on I must admit I thought it felt very weird on my skin, but the more I buffed it into my skin, the more I fell in love!

If you are younger and are experimenting with different types of products and makeup looks, BB creams and tinted moisturizers are a good place to start for summertime makeup styles because it is light, and still gives coverage. Plus it is easy to apply, and there is no way you can mess up. Remember they still come in different shades so have a mom or older sister help you find which color works best for you, and maybe which brand would best suit your type of skin!

That is it for this post guys! Next time I will be talking about a new brush that I recently got! If you guys use different tinted moisturizers or BB creams let me know in the comments, and I might give them a try. I am always looking for new products to try out! As always my social media links, and a bunch of other cool stuff are in the side bar to the right! Kisses<3

Obsession: Naked 2 Palette

I know that it has been forever, and I promised I was back at the beginning of my summer break. I know that I could make a million excuses, but I will not spill any of them on you because it does not matter. Let's just say the may was quite a busy month, and June has been busy as well! Hopefully July will not be as crazy, but you never know! Now onto more important things such as what this post is really about!
My beautiful new Naked 2 palette! Is it not gorgeous?! Just take a few moments to appreciate it....(just a few more)...okay now that that's out of the way. My birthday was last month, and now that I am not a little girl obsessed with toys, or in high school where people guess what you like normally I just get money from my closest family members (and trust me it helps poor college kids like me out a lot). As many of you know these palettes are on the expensive side of the makeup world, so I decided to treat myself because I have been wanting one for a while.
It was one of the best things I got for my birthday! I have experimented with it only twice because I want to save it for really special occasions. I picked the second Naked palette because I thought those colors would suit my skin tone and eye color the best. Plus I typically use similar neutrals, so why not try out the best? I knew I would love it because I never hear a bad thing about these palettes, and I use the primer potion by Urban Decay and I love it! Now lets talk about these colors!
The first three colors are Foxy, Half-Baked, and Booty Call. (This picture does not really show it, but Booty Call is really more of a pastel pink color, but the lighting was weird today). Foxy and Booty Call are great colors for highlighting under the brow bone, and the inner corner of the eye. Booty Call could also worn all over the lid for an everyday look. I prefer to wear Half-Baked all over my lid for a light, shimmery, fun, golden look!
The next three colors are Chopper, Tease, and Snakebite. I have not worn Chopper or Tease yet, but I think they could look nice all over the lid with a nice smokey eye. Chopper would be for more of a night time look because it is shimmery, whereas Tease is more for day time because it is matte, but both could be adapted for any look you want. Snakebite I used in my crease and on the outer corner of my eye to create a smokey eye look. I love it for a simple evening lighter smokey eye look (if that makes sense).
Next are Suspect, Pistol, and Verve. Suspect looks great all over the lid, or in the crease and in the outer corner for a daytime smokey eye. I have not used Pistol yet, but I would wear it all over the lid for a daytime look because it is a light grey, but if you put an extra bit on it could create a nice all over lid color for night time. Verve would look great all over the lid for a night time look, or highlighting the inner corner (however do not put under the brow bone because it is too loud for that, but not for the inner corner).
The last three are YDK, Busted, and Blackout. I love YDK a lot! It is a great all over the lid color for a night out with the girls, or a date. It is a beautiful rose gold color, and is the perfect shimmery eyeshadow if you ask me! Busted is great for creating a smokey eye, and goes well with YDK for a night time look! I have not used Blackout yet, but I feel like it would create a great bold smokey eye for a night look, but be careful you do not want it to be too bold!

This post is dedicated to my wonderful Aunt Tammy for reminding me that I have slightly been rejecting my blog this summer! Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Maybe once I use more of the colors I can come back and talk about different combinations I like, and what worked for me! If any of you guys have ideas of good combinations, leave them in the comments for me to see and maybe I can try them out! As always my social media links are in the side bar to the right, go follow me on them to keep up to date on my crazy life! I will see you guys soon! Kisses<3

Obsession: Crop Tops

I know that I have been gone for a while, but I am back now because it is finally summertime. Even though sometimes it does not feel like it. Speaking of summer, there are some new trends that have are becoming more and more popular as the weather gets warmer. One of the new trends that is going to be big this summer is crop tops!
Crop tops are very popular to wear with high-waisted shorts, skirts, and even maxi skirts. Wearing high-waisted bottoms with crop tops still keeps the outfit modest because it reduces, if not completely dissipates the amount of mid-rif (tummy area) showing. In my opinion these outfits are still modest and cute. BUT I also think that these outfits should be worn more for outings with friends, and not so much on a family outing.
These flowy crop tops are also going in popularity. Flowy crop tops make it easier to hide the mid-rif and are the most modest form of crop top. Yes I realize that in the picture above the top is not really a flowy crop top, but it is still cute!
Finally, these shoes! Yes I realize this is not a crop top, but  I just had to rave about these shoes! I love the bold coral color, and wedges are a casual heel and can be worn day and night! I love them a lot!

Well that is all for this obsessions post! Tell me what you are obsessed with down in the comments!
As always my social media links are in the side bar to the right!
I will see you guys soon! Kisses<3

Pinterest Favs #13

Hey guys! I'm back from the dead! Just kidding I did not die...I just had so many assignments due in a very short (actually quite) long amount of time and I never really got a break! But nevertheless I am back and ready to start blogging again! This post will be focused on summer trends because by now everyone is sick of school and just wants summer to begin! (At least thats how I feel because I only have a couple of weeks and I am off for the summer). Let's get started!
This outfit is super cute for summer! The bright peach A-line skirt is light and flowy, the white lace t-shirt is girlie and cute! Gold accessories and tan flats or white sandals would be great with this outfit! This outfit would be really cute for a date night, or even a girls night out!
This dress is very cute and very in style for summer 2014. These darker aztec print dresses are great for a night on the beach, dinner, date night, shopping almost anything! They would look good paired with some toms, or sandals.

These outfits are also very much in style for the up coming summer. Its all about high waisted shorts/skirts with cropped flowy tops. While being flirty and cute, this outfit does not show any midriff (that is your belly, stomach, torso, whatever) and is quite modest. However, some girls tend to wear tighter cropped tops that do, in fact, show off the mid section. I do not find this attractive no matter how flat or toned your stomach is cover it up, unless you are going to the pool in which case I think it is fine.

Here are two types of bathing suits that are great for this summer. There is a high waisted strapless on the left and a more frilly/flowy top on the right. These are two bathing suits, I imagine, I will be seeing many of this summer. Personally I love both of these styles, and really want to purchase both of them!
This is a cover up for bathing suits that is becoming more and more popular by the year, especially with the bright colors! I own something like this, and I love it! It looks so good when I am wearing a bright swim suit, even with short on underneath (not that I do often).

Well it sure feels good to be back y'all! Hopefully finals coming up will not keep me too busy, but I will definitely be back for good in a couple weeks! My Obsession!

Hey guys! So I have a bit of a confession...I am obsessed...with Oxfords! If you have absolutely no idea what I am talking about, then welcome into my world for a little bit!

Oxfords are only THE cutest shoes ever! I love them so much! I have a pair of light tan ones that I absolutely love, and will wear so often! They are one of many reasons I cannot wait for spring! Except you cannot really wear them when it is wet outside, but I will wear them as much as possible during springtime (probably summer too). I love this style because it is so vintage and retro and pinup and 50s, you can do so many things with this shoe and create so many styles! Basically they are very versatile. They add a little girlie touch to any outfit, which is another reason I love Oxfords! I encourage everyone to try them on in the store! I have to purchase the heel grips for mine because mine tend to rub my heels when I walk, and let me tell you it is not fun when you have lots of classes that day!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed this short mid-week post about what I am loving these days! What are you guys loving? Leave a comment and tell me about your obsessions! As always my links are in the side bar to the right! Kisses<3

Pinterest Favs #12

Hey guys! Spring is finally making appearances in Kentucky, and it's about time! I've been waiting so long for this weather, but I'm not getting excited yet because it's supposed to snow in a couple days. Nonetheless, I have transformed my wardrobe to all of my spring clothes, and I cannot wait for spring to finally be here for good! Everything in this post will be fashion for spring 2014!

Bright colors are going be very popular this spring. Like the peplum top and teal pants above, these are some examples of bright colors that will be popular. This outfit would look good with flats for a nice dinner, or date night.
Pastels are also popular colors in the springtime. This tank top with a big, flowy bow in the back is super cute, and perfect for spring/summer. It is light and flirty, and perfect just for a day spent with friends! It would be perfect with a cute pair of sandals or wedges!
This skirt is super cute, and just had to be in this post. I think it's perfect for spring because it is pastel, and it is light and flowy. It could be worn with a light, solid colored button down and a pair of white sandals or tan flats.
Of course this collared dress also had to make it into this post. It is super adorable and great for spring. It could be worn to church, or a play. It could be worn with heels, sandals, or flats. It is super light also, which makes it perfect for spring.
I just loved this outfit I found! I love the lacey top, tucked into the a-line/skater skirt. This outfit would be great with white wedges, flats, or even a pair of sparkley Chucks. (Converse).
This is a very casual outfit that is perfect to wear to class. The holey shirt allows your skin to breath making you not feel hot going from class to class. This is the perfect going to class/school outfit.

That's all for this post! I will probably post again in a couple of days! What is this posting twice a week stuff? Well, do not get too comfortable because I am a busy college student, but I am trying to post often to keep myself sane, and not stress. All of my links are in the side bar to the right! Share this post by clicking any of the social media links at the bottom of the post! See y'all next time! Kisses<3

How To: Wash your makeup brushes!

Hey guys! This is a new type of post, and I hope you guys like it! This is the way I always wash my brushes, and I believe it cleans my brushes well. There are other ways to wash them, but this is the easiest for a college kid on a budget!
What you will need:
  • Baby Shampoo
  • Small Bowl
  • Makeup Brushes
  • Hand Towel/Paper Towels
Step 1: Put a drop of baby shampoo into the bowl, and fill bowl with a little bit of water (not enough to fully submerge the brushes underwater).
Step 2: Rinse your first brush under the faucet.
Step 3: Swirl the brush around in the bowl.
Step 4: Rinse the brush under the faucet until the water runs clean (if it doesn't go clean swirl it again).
Step 5: Lay the brushes flat to dry on the paper towel or hand towel (repeat steps 2-5 until all brushes are clean).

You might want to wash them on the weekend, or on a days where you are not going to where makeup the next day. Larger brushes such as powder or blush brushes may take a full day to dry.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed this mid-week treat! All my links are in the right side bar! See you soon! Kisses<3

Makeup Review #1

Hey guys! I know that I have been gone for a while, and yea I am a terrible person for leaving for so long blah blah blah, but I have a very special post for this week. It will be very different, and I hope you guys enjoy it! This week I will be reviewing some products I have used for awhile, and love a lot. I use these products daily, so I have a good idea about how they work best. With that being said, I am by no means an expert cosmetologist, and this is only my opinion. These are products that work best for me personally, and I have practiced with them a lot. Also, This post is not sponsored by any of the brands I mention. With all that out of the way let's get started with the makeup!
This I one of my favorite eye products that I use on a daily basis. It is Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion. An eyeshadow primer is a cream that you apply before the actual eyeshadow, and it keeps your eyeshadow from shifting during the day. It also keeps that horrid crease from appearing during the day. It definitely keeps the eyeshadow from shifting, and you do not need that much! A drop about the size of a pea will cover your eyelid just fine. A tube goes a very long way! There is a slight downside to this wonderful product. Urban Decay is a high-end makeup brand, and this tube that I bought at Ulta cost $20, which is quite steep, but there are drugstore makeup brands that probably make excellent primers that I will be experimenting with in the future. If you know of any drugstore primers I should try let me know in the comments and I will be sure to try them out!
This is my favorite eyeliner I have ever tried, and trust me I have tried many eyeliners in the 18 years I have been alive! This gel liner is Ulta brand. It goes on super easy, and has great pigment. A downside is that it does wear off quite easily because it is not waterproof, but it is still great. I also know it is odd for a gel liner to come in a pencil instead of a pot with a brush, but in my opinion it is much easier to apply from the pencil because sometimes the bristles on the brush go askew and make unwanted lines. I use this eye liner on the inside of my upper lid under my lashes, and along my waterline (the inside of my lower lid). This method I find to be full proof! There is virtually no way anybody could mess up! I got this for $8 at an Ulta store, which is the only place you can purchase this brand.
This has been my favorite eyeshadow palette recently, which is weird for me because I typically go for neutrals. Browns, greys, but not maroon! These are Ulta eye shadows, which are not bad at all. I find they work best with an eye primer. The primer helps them be very pigmented, and easy to work with (blending, smudging, etc.). This palette is called Attached, and the shadows are called (top left) Havana Nights, (top right) Lock and Key, (lower left) Yogurt, (lower right) Naked. I do not use Yogurt, but the other three in the palette make a beautiful smokey eye. I got this free in along with 11 other palettes, two double sided eyeliner pencils, and two shiny lip glosses. If you wanted to recreate this palette, you would have to purchase the single eye shadows. Yogurt and Naked are $7 each, and Havana Nights and Lock and Key are $6 each. In my opinion, this is quite expensive for eyeshadow, but it could be worth it!

My makeup brushes are like my children! I love them, and they are great at what they do. I wash them frequently, but that's for another post. I use Eco Tools brand for all of my brushes. They are definitely one of the top brands for brushes. All of the brushes are made from recycled materials, and bamboo for some of their brushes! I have bought two sets of brushes, and two of my brushes were purchased as singles. The brush on the left is a flat foundation brush that was purchased as a single for $7.49 at Ulta. The middle brush is a tapered blush brush which was the other single I bought for $8.49 at Ulta. The brush on the right is a round powder brush came in a package with a stay-there shadow brush, smudge brush, detailed lip/liner brush, and a pointed concealer brush. The 5-piece set was $17 at Ulta. I also got another set that included an angled crease brush, a petite eye shading brush, a large eye brush, a highlighting brush, and a smudge brush. These brushes were tiny and compact, specifically for traveling, and was $11.49 at Ulta. The brushes all come with their own case, which is handy when traveling. I know that these brushes are a steep price, but trust me it is way worth it. I also recommend Real Techniques brushes because they are amazing, and cheaper than this brand. Eco Tools is also available at Wall-mart and Target.
Now for my favorite product! Lipstick is definitely my favorite thing to buy, of course I obsess over all makeup, when I get a new lipstick I feel like a new person, and it makes me so happy! These are L'Oreal Paris brand lipsticks, which is the best drugstore brand lipstick I have tried. It has great pigment, and stays on forever! I can put it on at the beginning of the day, and not have to reapply until around 3 maybe (depending on what I eat for lunch). I have two colors, one is 350 British Red, and the other is 754 Sugar Plum. The British Red is an orangey red color that is very bold, and I love it. It compliments my skin tone, so I have been told. If you are not one for bold red lips, they have many shades of red, and I am sure that they have one to suit you! The Sugar Plum is a gorgeous light berry color that is perfect for autumn and winter. I love it because it is a flirty color because there is a bit of shimmer in the pigment. These are from the Colour Riche line from L'Oreal and are $8 from Ulta.
