This coat is an absolutely amazing piece that would be a fabulous addition to anyone's wardrobe. It would look great with a pair of dark skinny jeans and riding boots. If you decide to layer with a plain white long sleeve t-shirt underneath then I would wear a large necklace which would be practical for dinner or to go to the movies, or even to be outside all day like at an orchard/pumpkin patch. You could also add a cute scarf and put layers under it for a cool night at a bonfire.
These outfits are very in style for fall 2013. In the picture on the left the outfit is cute and perfect for a day at the mall or for a girls night on the town. Personally I would wear jeans that didn't have holes in them because I'm not really into holes anymore, but the jeans in the picture look great. I would also probably wear a pair of riding boots and maybe some boot socks. If the jeans didn't have holes in the picture it would be great for a summer job interview, or paired with khakis would be great for a professional job interview. In the picture on the right the outfit is the perfect casual outfit for going to class, or going for a day out. Both of these prints do go well together, but personally I don't really like to mix patterns hardly ever. I would wear either a solid jumper with the cheetah print button up underneath, or a solid button up underneath the polka dotted jumper. I love the gold jewelry that's with the outfit, and also the flats are to die for.
When I found these shoes on Pinterest, I wished that my closet was exactly like my Pinterest boards, but then again who hasn't thought that at least once? I fell in love with the shoes! My love for vintage style is definitely expressed through these shoes. I can picture an adorable A-line skirt and a solid long sleeve button up shirt with a solid jumper over the button up which would be tucked into the skirt. Maybe even a pair of thigh high stockings with lace at the top. This look would be complete with gold jewelry and the perfect cat eye makeup!
Now there were a couple of things I found that aren't exactly seasonal and the first was this coat. This is the best coat for winter. I love the gold buttons, and yes white isn't always the best colour, but I still love this coat. With a pair of furry boots and dark trousers, or dark skinny jeans this would be adorable to go to a play at Christmas time. A cute pair of leather gloves would also help to complete this look. The length will also help you to stay warm in the harsh winter air, especially walking to and from classes!
This is the second thing that I found that wasn't seasonal. Yes this could be an adorable fall outfit, but it would be much more practical for spring. I absolutely love the high-waisted skirt with the bow on the front, and the collared blouse that's paired with it is perfect. The coral cardigan goes perfectly with the girly outfit. The handbag and jewellery match so well with the skirt and cardigan and give it a really vintage vibe. While the heels are super cute and complete this look, I would probably wear a pair of flats or maybe even some oxfords to complete the vintage feel of the outfit. I might even wear my nude peep-toe heels that have a bow on the front. There are so many open doors with this outfit, and while autumn is my favourite season this makes me super excited for spring.
The last thing I found on Pinterest this week was a makeup tip! Ladies, instead of applying your concealer in dots under your eyes, make a triangle with strokes! It looks much more natural when it's blended with your foundation because it blends out into the cheek bone and doesn't look like you just caked it on under your eyes. I actually used this technique, and it looks so much better! It works especially well if you just need to pop some on right before class because it blends better with your skin as it's not as concentrated under the eye.
I hope you guys enjoyed my very first real blog post! I enjoyed making it and I will write again very soon! Kisses <3
