My beautiful new Naked 2 palette! Is it not gorgeous?! Just take a few moments to appreciate it....(just a few more)...okay now that that's out of the way. My birthday was last month, and now that I am not a little girl obsessed with toys, or in high school where people guess what you like normally I just get money from my closest family members (and trust me it helps poor college kids like me out a lot). As many of you know these palettes are on the expensive side of the makeup world, so I decided to treat myself because I have been wanting one for a while.
It was one of the best things I got for my birthday! I have experimented with it only twice because I want to save it for really special occasions. I picked the second Naked palette because I thought those colors would suit my skin tone and eye color the best. Plus I typically use similar neutrals, so why not try out the best? I knew I would love it because I never hear a bad thing about these palettes, and I use the primer potion by Urban Decay and I love it! Now lets talk about these colors!
The first three colors are Foxy, Half-Baked, and Booty Call. (This picture does not really show it, but Booty Call is really more of a pastel pink color, but the lighting was weird today). Foxy and Booty Call are great colors for highlighting under the brow bone, and the inner corner of the eye. Booty Call could also worn all over the lid for an everyday look. I prefer to wear Half-Baked all over my lid for a light, shimmery, fun, golden look!
The next three colors are Chopper, Tease, and Snakebite. I have not worn Chopper or Tease yet, but I think they could look nice all over the lid with a nice smokey eye. Chopper would be for more of a night time look because it is shimmery, whereas Tease is more for day time because it is matte, but both could be adapted for any look you want. Snakebite I used in my crease and on the outer corner of my eye to create a smokey eye look. I love it for a simple evening lighter smokey eye look (if that makes sense).
Next are Suspect, Pistol, and Verve. Suspect looks great all over the lid, or in the crease and in the outer corner for a daytime smokey eye. I have not used Pistol yet, but I would wear it all over the lid for a daytime look because it is a light grey, but if you put an extra bit on it could create a nice all over lid color for night time. Verve would look great all over the lid for a night time look, or highlighting the inner corner (however do not put under the brow bone because it is too loud for that, but not for the inner corner).
The last three are YDK, Busted, and Blackout. I love YDK a lot! It is a great all over the lid color for a night out with the girls, or a date. It is a beautiful rose gold color, and is the perfect shimmery eyeshadow if you ask me! Busted is great for creating a smokey eye, and goes well with YDK for a night time look! I have not used Blackout yet, but I feel like it would create a great bold smokey eye for a night look, but be careful you do not want it to be too bold!
This post is dedicated to my wonderful Aunt Tammy for reminding me that I have slightly been rejecting my blog this summer! Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Maybe once I use more of the colors I can come back and talk about different combinations I like, and what worked for me! If any of you guys have ideas of good combinations, leave them in the comments for me to see and maybe I can try them out! As always my social media links are in the side bar to the right, go follow me on them to keep up to date on my crazy life! I will see you guys soon! Kisses<3
