Review: ELF Natural Beauty Book

Hey guys! The ELF Beauty Journal: Natural Look is one of two palettes I own, and I absolutely love it. I normally go for neutral makeup looks because I like a nice bold lip color, and this is a great palette for  that!
This palette comes with black pencil eyeliner, liquid eye primer with a stick applicator, six eyeshadow colors, and a foam eyeshadow applicator. I only use the eyeshadows. I tried the primer and it was too liquidy, and didn't seem to make the shadow look very pigmented which made it look like it didn't last very long. I haven't tried the eyeliner because I do not like the pencils that you have to resharpen because they aren't easy for me to use.

These are the gorgeous colors that are in the palette. They do not have names, so I'll reference their place on the palette instead.

The top left color is a great highlight color for the inside corner of your eye and under your brow bone. This is the only color in the palette that is matte, also. The top right color is great for a crease color or even a base for your lid. There is an orange undertone to the shimmer which doesn't appear in the picture, but looks great! The middle left is also a great base lid color and it is has a more yellow undertone to the shimmer which you can kind of see in the picture. The middle right color is a shimmery medium brown which is great for the outer corner for a natural smokey eye.

The bottom left is a shimmery white, and it's the only color in the palette I have never used. I am not sure how the pigment would turn out, but I think it is just a silver shimmer. It would look good over a matte color to give it some shimmer. Finally, the bottom right is a shimmery dark brown, but appears black in the picture. It is good for an evening smokey eye.
This is how the palette looks when you first open it. There is a plastic cover over the products, and the back of the cover has a guide on it. If you're learning how to do makeup then this guide could be a helpful tool for doing a simple natural look. Guides, charts, tutorials, etc. are all great tools to learn how to do makeup for younger girls!

Thanks for reading! This semester is crazy, so I am trying my best to post when I can but I am not making any promises for a set schedule. This post was not sponsored by ELF. All my links are to the right! Like and share please! See you guys next week! Kisses<3
